The Rebrand of Stilla Vitae

Word Mapping

My first step in redesigning the Stilla Vitae logo was word mapping. I brainstormed words and concepts about the brand and it’s mission of giving back in order to have a better place to start when I began sketching ideas. This process helped me explore deeper meanings, leading to the name "Stilla Vitae," which translates to "drops of life" in Latin—a refined and symbolic representation of the
collection’s purpose.

Stilla Vitae, formerly known as The Cure Collection, is a high-end jewelry line dedicated to supporting Cure Childhood Cancer through its proceeds. However, the original branding faced challenges—the logo lacked a luxurious appeal, and the name was too direct, limiting its high-end perception.

Realizing that an emblem or icon might detract from the sense of luxury, I focused on incorporating the teardrop motif directly into the typography. After experimenting with different letters, I found that the most elegant and cohesive approach was to integrate the teardrop shape into the dots of the "i," subtly reinforcing the brand’s identity while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
