48 hour repack

Commercial
This project was a 48-hour challenge where a team of four was tasked with reimagining the everyday 12-pack of soda. From the moment the competition began, we had to design, fabricate, and produce a commercial showcasing our innovative packaging solution.
The Problem
For this project, we began by critically analyzing the design flaws of the standard 12-pack of soda. Through discussion, we identified a key usability issue: while the packaging effectively transports the cans, accessing the last few becomes increasingly difficult once placed in the refrigerator. With this in mind, we set out to develop an innovative solution that enhances both the carrying and dispensing experience of the traditional 12-pack.
While sketching ideas, I kept gravitating toward the concept of incorporating a 45-degree angle. My thought process was that if we could integrate a ramp-like structure, it would naturally guide the cans forward, solving the accessibility issue. From there, we considered the practicality—ensuring the design could stand on its own and effectively push the cans to the front. With the overall shape established, we moved on to testing variations and strategizing how to market the design for retail shelves.
